SHADES OF JUST IN TIME

alias RICOCHET

:::

Dedicated to Connie Broch, our first one-practice-session-drummer, very much to Manfred Scheer, at that time in DIFFERENT FACES, who was the singer and thus kept the band alive for a very long time and on a 6,50-DM-basis, and last but... to Theo Simon, the first singer and the one without whom we would never have been able to practice on such a fine location as we do still now!

:::

The combined talents of five young men and one even younger woman(?!) are here extended to create realms of musical colour such as have never been heard before in

SHADES OF JUST IN TIME

There is Mike Busse, their mouthpiece and it's in his nature to be the romantic member of the band, surplus playing the lead guitar, speaking through his wild strings as if to say the instrument is more eloquent than I, exploding into a wall of noise before losing you in a vast purple sea of grunge. On drums the man is Jörg P. Burghoff whose sticks explode upon his skins with sounds that belie his gentle looks; whilst playing his part, excitement mounts and at last a crash of thunder bursts upon the scene. Rüdiger Dahm, is tall, slim(?!) and some might say sinister until they hear the sweetness and light he paints with his electronic palette while a distant animal howls only to be silenced by his organ chords. On rhythm-guitar Gerhard Ewald arouses a mood of optimism by the boys and the girl. Elke Damerow moves off with her sax-sound full of promise and amorous intent, mixing all from outer space into echoes off the Himalayas. Karlheinz Damerow is a polan native (former Schlesien/Eastern Germany, now Southwest Polan) who also plays the bass guitar; he is the joker in the pack who fondly trails a Lotus replica "seventy seven VM" by the name of "Black Brick".

Having met the group, explore the depths of their creations now by turning on your music player, adjust its volume to a peak and then settle down between the speakers to enjoy the softest whisper of their souls which explodes into a wall of noise.
